Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I use the Zoom button, and why might it not work?

Give the Zoom button a short press rather than holding it down.

If it still does not zoom, check these two things:

  • Resolution: Zoom is unavailable at the highest camera resolution. Select a lower resolution and try again.
  • Imaging software: Some imaging software does not support zoom.

If the issue continues, contact ProDENT Support and let us know which imaging software you are using.

2. How do I remove air bubbles caused by the protective sheath?

Gently pull the sheath back toward the handle so it fits snugly and lies flat over the lens. This should remove the air bubbles affecting the image.

3. Can I adjust the camera's LED brightness?

LED brightness adjustment depends on the camera version. On versions that support it, press and hold the power button to adjust the LED brightness.

Install in three steps

  1. Connect the camera. Plug it into USB and open the capture screen in your imaging software. Select the camera/video source for live preview.
  2. Set up your capture route. Windows camera button: install ProDENT Capture and choose your software setup. Mac button: install the Mac app and complete guided setup. Windows TWAIN: close imaging apps, install the PD760 Pro / PD780AU driver, then reopen your software and select the ProDENT TWAIN source.
  3. Capture and check the saved photo. Follow your software guide, capture a test image and confirm it is saved in the intended patient record. If you need the physical camera button, test a real press; a shortcut confirmation alone does not confirm image saving.
Camera model & capture-route notes
  • Mac button setup: The current guide lists PD740, PD750, PD760, PD760 Pro, PD720 and PD780. Complete guided setup and a real button test. For PD780AU on Mac, ask support to confirm your exact setup.
  • Windows TWAIN: The current ProDENT driver names PD760 Pro and PD780AU and supports 32-bit and 64-bit TWAIN applications. For standard PD760 or another model, confirm the driver route with support.
  • USB video, camera button and TWAIN: These use different setup routes. The Mac button app sends a shortcut; your imaging software provides preview and saves the image. For a separate Mac preview, capture and export workspace, review ProDENT View on the Mac apps page.

A listed guide is a setup resource, not approval for every camera, computer or software version. Confirm your exact setup with ProDENT Support.
