Get Your Camera Button Working — 3 Steps
About 3 minutes. No technical knowledge needed.
Before you start
Have these ready:
- Your Mac
- Your camera
- Your dental software
Allow the camera button on this Mac
Open the app. Click Open Mac Settings.
Turn on the switch for Intraoral Camera Capture.
Return to the app.
You will see: “Done ✓”
Which dental software do you use?
Choose MacPractice or Oryx.
If yours is different, choose My software isn’t listed.
Follow the short instructions on the screen.
You will see: Your dental software is selected.
Try it out
Plug in your camera. Open your dental software like you normally would.
Press the capture button on the camera, just like with a patient.
When your dental software responds, click Yes.
You will see: “Camera connected ✓ ProDENT HD PD780AU,” then “It worked!”
It worked!
You’re all set — and here’s the best part: what you just did is exactly how you’ll use it every day. Open your dental software, press the camera button, and the photo is taken. That’s it.
Still not working?
- Open the app menu and choose Run setup again.
- Open Camera Button Test from the app menu.
